Robert Sallaway

Robert “Sal” Sallaway, age 60, of Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
He was born November 18, 1956 in Pottsville to Rose Marie(McCutcheon) Sallaway, Mahanoy City and the late Albert Sallaway.
Sal was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and was formerly employed by Carlisle Tire and Wheel. He loved fishing and riding his custom motorcycle. Sal was a very likable person who loved to talk and help people.
In addition to his mother, Sal is survived by: his significant other, Margarita “Maggie” Santai of Pottsville; a daughter, Sasha Whittenburg of Scottsdale, AZ; a brother, Albert Sallaway of Mahanoy City; a sister, Rita Rose; and an uncle, Richie “Fro” (wife Margaret) McCutcheon of Shenandoah; and niece and nephews, Christopher Sallaway, Tori Sallaway and Tyler Barkus.
A Celebration of Sal’s Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 152 E. Pomfret Church, Carlisle, PA 17013.
