Robert M. Price, Jr.

Robert M. Price Jr., 70 of Elkins, WV and formerly of Bethlehem, PA, died Saturday, November 8, 2014 in his home.
Born January 11, 1944 in Sumter, SC. He was a son of the late Robert M. and Ethel Varner Price Sr.
Bob was a 1961 graduate of the Greater Johnstown High School and a 1965 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He was a chemical engineer who held various management positions with Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown PA, Bethlehem PA and Lackawanna NY. Bob was very proud of Bethlehem Steel and its employees. He was a past President of the Eastern States Blast Furnace & Coke Oven Association and he received many environmental and production awards throughout his career. After his retirement from Bethlehem Steel, he was employed as supervisor of quality control for Armstrong Flooring, Elkins, WV. He was the former Treasurer of the University Club, Bethlehem, PA.
Robert enjoyed traveling, particularly through the National Parks. He was an avid reader, enjoyed history, Penn State and WVU football and music. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, in particular his granddaughter Maddie.
Surviving are his wife Cheryl, Elkins, WV, two daughters, Lisa Kaiser and her husband Tobias, Boca Raton, FL, Becky Price Hoffman and her husband Chris, Carlisle, PA, a son, Chris R. Price, Bethlehem, PA, two brothers, David Price and his wife Mary, Carlisle, PA, Don Price and his partner Sharon, Enola, PA, a sister, Connie Belsinger and her husband Ray, Arbutus, MD and a granddaughter, Maddie. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Leigh and a brother John Thomas.
By marriage, Robert also had numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Brenda Bender, Roger and Patty Bender, Stuart and Arla Bender, Kevin and Sandy Bender, Barbie Bender, Henry and Nichole Bender, and Keith Bender.
There will be no services. Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle PA is handling the arrangements.
