Robert L. Morrison

Robert “Bobâ€Â Leroy Morrison, Sr., 68, of Carlisle, died Friday, July 15, 2011 at M. S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born April 26, 1943 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Paul W., Sr. and Esther Mae Bender Morrison.
He attended Big Spring High School. He retired from Quaker Oats, Shiremanstown plant after 33 years. Bob had worked as a part-time driver for Classic Drycleaners, Carlisle, C. H. Masland and Sons and Bedford Shoe Factory. He was Past Worthy President of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1299, Carlisle, Past President and life member of the White Circle Club, Carlisle, a life member of Big Spring Fish and Game, a member of American Legion Post #101, Carlisle, a member of Elks BPO Lodge #578, Carlisle, a member of the Mechanicsburg Club and a charter member of REACT of the Carlisle Eagles #1299. Some of his hobbies were showing his 1974 Corvette, going to the car and truck shows and watching NASCAR and taking care of his dog, BooBoo.
Surviving are his loving wife of 31 years, Alice Suzanne Morrison of Carlisle, one son, Robert Leroy Morrison, Jr. of Carlisle and step-daughter, Elizabeth (Powell) Reed (and husband, Todd, Sr.) of Newville, two step-grandchildren, Heather R. Motter and Todd Reed, Jr., one great grandchild, Julian M. Hildabrand and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Richard L. Morrison, Sr., Paul, Jr., and sister, Patricia Ann Morrison.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. William E. Pipp officiating. Private burial will be in the Plainfield Church of God Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
