Robert K. "Bob" Reitzel

Robert K. "Bob" Reitzel, 71, of Carlisle, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at MS Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA.
He was born January 17, 1944 in Harrisburg to the late Robert William and Geraldine Catherine Hess Reitzel.
Bob graduated from Central Dauphin High School and attended York College before transferring to The Pennsylvania State University graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing and is also a graduate of the Central Atlantic School of Trust at Bucknell University. Actively involved in the community, Bob was an Investment Advisory Board Member for the Supreme Court of PA; Member of Rotary International; Board Member and Treasurer of PA Lawyers Fund for Client Security; Board Member for Keystone Partnership; Member of the Finance and Investment Committee for United Way Central PA; Member of the HBG Regional Chamber Military Liaison Committee; Member of the Whitaker Center Nominating and Program Committee; Member of the Dauphin County Tax Group; Member and past President of the Estate Planning Council Central PA; Member of the Investment and Finance Committee for the First Lutheran Church in Carlisle, PA; Board Member of the Central Pa Youth Ballet; Board Member of the Carlisle YMCA; Chaired the Board for Diakon Lutheran Fund; Investment Committee for the Holy Spirit Health System; Treasurer for Historic Carlisle; Board Member of The American Lung Association, Central Pa Region; Board Member of Keystone Human Services; PA Bankers Association Trust School at Bucknell University and taught Estate Settlement; Historic Carlisle, Inc.; Turkey Buzzards; Eastern PA Rugby Union Referees Society; Harrisburg Rugby Club; Keystone Old Boys Rugby Club; Treasurer of Carlisle Thunder Youth Rugby Club. Bob retired from Hershey Trust Company before joining Orrstown Bank. He was a member and Treasurer at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Deborah Heckman Reitzel of Carlisle; two daughters, Megan (and husband Drew) Crompton of Mechanicsburg and Merritt Reitzel of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Mallory, Harrison and Morgan; and a sister, Carol Hunter of Harrisburg.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 E. High Street, Carlisle. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover Street, Carlisle and also on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
