Robert H. "Bob" Jamison, age 82, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle.
He was born in Trenton, NJ on September 10, 1933 to the late Walter Herbert and M. Elma White Jamison.
Bob was a retired dairy farmer in the Newville area. He was a former member of Allison United Methodist Church and very active in the Men's Association and a member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church. He was a former Treasurer of the Cumberland County Farm Bureau for over 38 years. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the Navy. Bob was an avid bowler and played softball in the church league up into his 70's. He also was a Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Janet G. Walter Jamison of Carlisle; a son, Keith R. (and wife Chloe) Jamison of Hanover, MD; a daughter, Lorie D. Jamison-Phillips and husband Marc Phillips of Franklinton, NC; and two grandchildren, Courtney and Corey Phillips.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Carlisle United Methodist Church, 45 S. West St., Carlisle, PA with Rev. James E. VanZandt officiating. Burial will be at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens with military honors being provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. There will be a viewing from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA and from 12:00 noon until the time of the services on Monday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carlisle United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 45 S. West Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
