Robert Graham Hershey, 70, of Shippensburg, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at his home.
Born April 3, 1941 in York, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Elma Sweitzer Hershey.
He was a graduate of Penn State University in Landscape Design. He was employed by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of State Parks. Robert was a member of Big Spring Presbyterian Church and served on the Board of Trustees. He also served on the Newville Planning Commission and Newville Shade Tree Commission. He loved fishing and was an Indian History Buff who collected arrowheads. Robert loved the outdoors, loved cooking and especially collecting antiques.
Surviving are his loving wife and best friend of 30 years, Sherry L. Hershey of Shippensburg, two sons, Shane Hershey of Indiana, PA and Mark P. Hershey of Pequea, PA, one daughter, Kim S. Kelly of Portsmouth, NH, and one daughter-in-law, Kathy Hershey of Lincoln University and four grandchildren, Nathaniel Kelly of Santa Monica, CA, Emile Kelly of Dover, NH, Molly Hershey and Maddie Hershey both of Lincoln University and one brother, Charles Hershey of York. He was preceded in death by one son, Matthew R. Hershey.
Memorial services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
