Robert G. Logan, Sr., age 92, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Claremont Nursing & Rehab Center, Carlisle.
He was born December 23, 1924 in Carlisle to the late Arthur Sr. and Pearl (Myers) Logan and was the widower of Ruth (Monismith) Logan who passed March 27, 1975.
Robert was held as a POW while serving as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II. He retired from the Naval Supply Depot, Mechanicsburg. Bob enjoyed working in his yard and flower beds and traveling.
He is survived by: two sons, Robert Jr. (wife Bonnie) Logan of Leesburg, FL and Dennis (wife Bonnie) Logan of Redondo Beach, CA; two daughters, Karen (husband Ron) Cottingham and Wendy Logan, both of Carlisle; six siblings, Thelma, Ed, Alfred, Richard, Jerry and Gary; one grandson, Wesley Burkholder of Hummelstown; and his special friend, Veda Adams of Carlisle. In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kathy Ann Logan and five siblings, Arthur, Jr., Paul, Betty, Evelyn and Doris.
In keeping with Robert’s wishes, there will not be any visitation or services. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff at Claremont Nursing & Rehab for the wonderful care given to Robert during his stay.
