Robert De Francesco, 71, of Carlisle, passed on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at his residence.
Born March 23, 1945 in Flushing, Queens, New York to the late Alfonso and Ninfa (Lizza) De Francesco.
Bob is survived by his wife, Helen De Francesco of Carlisle, whom he was with for 23 years; a daughter, Vicky De Francesco of Texas; brothers Bruce and Gary De Francesco; a sister, Sandy De Francesco; as well as step-son Joe Bellish of New Jersey, and step-daughter Heather Sinno (and husband Matt) of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, for which he earned two Purple Hearts.
Bob worked hard as a driver, and then lead transportation supervisor of Trailways. In his free time, Bob was an avid fly-fisherman – most often found waist-deep in Yellow Breeches river, and reader of all types of books – most often found at Bosler Library in Carlisle.
Interment will be private, and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bob to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
