Robert C. Beers

Robert C. Beers, age 84 of Plainfield, passed away December 12, 2020 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born November 14, 1936 in Mechanicsburg, son of the late Clarence E. Sr. and Dorothy (Sheaffer) Beers.
Robert was a 1954 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. He worked for Capital Products and retired from New Cumberland Army Depot. He was a US Army Veteran. He liked Civil War History, gardening, reading and trains. He was a member of the Mechanicsburg Sportsman’s Association and the NRA. He liked hunting and the outdoors and his cat, Sarah.
He is survived by his wife, Donna (McCune) Beers, Plainfield, to whom he would have celebrated 61 years of marriage in January, children, Deborah (Robert) Shughart, Warfordsburg, PA; David (Rachel) Beers, York and Dr. Diane Beers, Holyoke, MA, grandchildren Benjamin, Leigh and Thomas and brothers, Clarence E. Jr. (Kay) Beers, Harrisburg and Donald (Sandy) Beers, Stanley, VA and sister, Jean McEnaney, West Des Moines, IA.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, viewing and service will be private at the convenience of the family.
