Robert "Bob" Isaac Lewis

Robert "Bob" Isaac Lewis, 87, of Boiling Springs, died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 17, 1927 in Palo Alto, PA to the late Clarence and Martha Reese Lewis.
Bob joined the Navy at age 17, foregoing his senior year of high school to serve his country during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He married Joan Hollenbaugh on December 31, 1950. After retiring from the Naval Support Depot in 1987, he joined Joan in the family antique business. Bob was a career carpenter having built both homes he shared with his family. He was captain of the football team at Carlisle High School. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and vacations at the beach. Bob was a member of the Boiling Springs VFW Post 8851.
In addition to his wife Joan, Bob is survived by two daughters Debra Shull of Boiling Springs and Susan (and husband Randy) Davidson of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren, Heather Post (and Gary Baboian) of Las Vegas and Justin (and wife Kristi) Davidson of Dillsburg and great-grandchildren Conner and Reese.
He was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Lewis, a sister Madeline Mumper and son-in-law Dennis Shull.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, 219 N. Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Edward Roman officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery, Mt. Holly Springs with military honors provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. There will be a viewing from 1:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Carlisle Baptist Church, 971 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, PA 17013 or First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 21 S. Bedford Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
