Robert B. Hamill

Robert B. "Bob" Hamill, 56, of Carlisle died Friday, June 17, 2011 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center.

Born Oct. 26, 1954, the son of Robert H. and the late Marylois Bryan Hamill.

Bob was a graduate of Bellefonte High School in the class of 1972. In his free time he enjoyed taking care of his one-acre property and frequenting local sprint car races.

In addition to his father, Robert is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cathy Hamill, and his daughter, JoAnne Hamill and her companion Darryl of Gettysburg.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 25 at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Newville at 10 a.m. with the Rev. John L. Shellenberger Jr. officiating.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, 7990 Grayson Road Harrisburg, PA 17111.
