Robert B. Eggleston

Robert B. Eggleston, age 73, of Carlisle, PA passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 30, 1944 in Woonsocket, RI to the late Gordon and Anna (Munroe) Eggleston.
Robert was a former administrator for the United Church Board for World Ministries for the United Church of Christ in New York, NY for 23 years. He was a member of: Senior DeMolay Masonic Temple; a former member of the Morning Star Lodge #13, Rhode Island; the First United Church of Christ, Carlisle, where he was a Deacon and in the choir; and Eastside Neighbors of Carlisle. Robert was an Anglophile and loved all things British, including his heritage.
He is survived by: a sister, Ruth A. (husband Thomas) Crownover of Carlisle, PA; two brothers, G. Elliot (wife Jeanne) Eggleston of Birmingham, AL and Allan S. (Mary) Eggleston of Cove, OR; and his good friend, John. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanne Feeney.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at First United Church of Christ, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Chris Schwab officiating. There will be a reception for family and friends at the church following the services. Burial at Slatersville Cemetery in Rhode Island will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
