Robert Allen Delancey

Robert Allen DeLancey, age 81, of Carlisle and formerly of Kreamer, PA, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at his home.

He was born September 11, 1936 in New Kensington, PA to the late Charles and Mildred (Rexa) DeLancey and was the widower of Cindy (Dorman) DeLancey.

Robert graduated from Carlisle High School in 1954 where he played football, basketball and baseball. He attended Lycoming College in Williamsport. He retired as a supervisor from Weis Markets in Milton, PA. Robert was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle and the Cumberland-Carlisle AARP #4377.

He is survived by: his son, Chris (wife Becky) DeLancey of Selinsgrove; a brother, C. Richard DeLancey; two sisters, Carol Kuntz-Wallick and Catherine Burkholder; many nieces and nephews; and his dear friend, Loretta Quinn.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA with the Very Rev. William C. Forrey, V.F. as Celebrant. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family at the Globe Mills Cemetery, Kreamer, PA. There will be a visitation at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2040 Linglestown Road, Suite 104, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 152 E. Pomfret Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
