Robert Alfred Dubler, 81, of Carlisle, PA passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at his residence.
He was born June 15, 1937, the son of the late Edward Dietz Dubler and Helen Irene Merrell Dubler. He married the love of his life, Janet V. Heltman, who survives him.
Robert had worked with J.J. Newberry’s, Cloth World and Your Fabric Store before opening his own store, the Main Street Outlet. In his early years, Robert played baseball, holding the position of pitcher. He liked collecting stamps and was a Baltimore Ravens fan.
Robert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Janet Dubler of Carlisle, two sons: Robert Dubler of Mechanicsburg, and Jeffrey Dubler and his wife Teresa of Lewistown; and a daughter Kay Shaffer and her husband Geoffrey of Landisburg; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Bies and a brother James Dubler.
Services will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
