Richelle A. Harrison

Richelle A. Harrison, age 57, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at her home.  She was born November 17, 1959 in Schenectady, NY to Joan Boswell (Scott) Harrison of Carlisle.  

Richelle was a 1977 graduate of Carlisle High School and was a member of Bethel AME Church of Carlisle.  Affectionately known as “Shelly” and “Shell”, she loved people, spending time with her family and friends, and playing with and babysitting her grandsons.  She was often in the kitchen baking cookies with the boys and making baked macaroni for her girls.  Richelle also enjoyed playing cards in poker tournaments, trips to the casino to play the slot machines, and she loved all things pink.  When leaving family and friends, Richelle often spoke her signature scripture, “May the Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another--Amen”. (Genesis 31:49 KJV) 

Richelle is survived by her mother, Joan Harrison of Carlisle, PA; two daughters, Janee Dietrich (Jason) of Harrisburg, PA and Aileen Harrison of Carlisle, PA; a sister, Renée Harrison of Centreville, VA; two grandchildren, Grayson Dietrich and Kaidyn White; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.  Richelle was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Amelia B. Lane and Samuel J. Scott.

On Saturday, April 1, 2017 the family will celebrate the life of Richelle with Visitation: 1:30pm-2:30pm and Memorial Service: 2:30pm at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
