Richard W. Rudolph

Richard W. Rudolph, age 86, of Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 14, 1931 in Mt. Holly Springs to the late Robert G. and Elmira (Sheaffer) Rudolph.
Richard retired from Kinney Shoe Corp. as a department head with 35 years of service. He was a former member of the Chamber of Commerce, 210 Shoe Foundation, IMC Club and was an advisor to the Junior Achievement Program. Richard was a member of Carlisle United Methodist Church, a life member of Elks Lodge BPOE #578 and served in the US Air Force for four years during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed tennis, his McDonalds coffee group with friends and vacationing in the Smokey Mountains, Myrtle Beach and Florida during the winter. Richard will be remembered as a caring and loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by: his wife of 61 years, Fay (Morrison) Rudolph of Carlisle; two daughters, Wendy (husband James) Simon and Nancy Rudolph, both of Carlisle; a sister, Evelyn N. (husband David) Williams of Pensacola, FL; three grandchildren, Edwin MacNamara III, Brianne (husband Beau) Merlini and Evan Simon; and three great-grandchildren, Delaney, Sienna and Rayann MacNamara. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Rudolph and a sister, Rogene Kepner.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA with Rev. James VanZandt officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the services.
