Richard A. Strahosky Sr.

Richard A. Strahosky Sr., 76 of Carlisle, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at Forest Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born May 1, 1941 in Kulpmont to the late Andrew and Margaret (Bedsok) Strahosky and was the widower of Mary Ann (Hawkins) Strahosky to whom he had been married for 59 years.
Richard loved all Carlisle sports and enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren compete in different sports at all levels. He retired from Hempt Brothers Inc., the job he loved, after over 50 years of service.
Richard is survived by two sons, Richard A. (wife Patricia) Strahosky Jr. of Mechanicsburg and Michael T. Strahosky of Carlisle; two daughters, Theresa (husband Charles) Nist and Kathleen (husband Skip) Barbour both of Carlisle; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Andrea and Janet.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
