Richard A. Neiderer, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Thornwald Home, Carlisle.
Born January 28, 1924 in Kokomo, IN, the son of the late Irl and Ethel (Burgdoerfer) Neiderer.
He was a graduate of the University Of Pennsylvania Wharton School Of Business. Richard was an Air Force pilot who proudly served during WWII and the Korean Conflict. For over 40 years he owned and operated the Richard A. Neiderer Insurance Agency in Carlisle. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle.
Richard is survived by his wife of thirty years, Theresa Neiderer; a son, Philip Neiderer (wife Kelly) of Carlisle; and a daughter, Linda Lane of New Cumberland. Also surviving are four grandchildren; four step-sons; four step-daughters; twenty-one step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lena Lunette Neiderer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 10, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, with Rev. William C. Forrey as celebrant. There will be a private interment at St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery, Carlisle.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick School, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA 17015.
