Richard A. Keiser, 88, of Carlisle, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 in Cape Coral, Florida.
He was the son of the late Albert and Nettie (Grimes) Keiser, and was preceded in death, in 1998, by his wife of fifty-three years, Joyce (Ruhl), and a sister, Nettie Rae Weidner.
He was a 1944 graduate of Carlisle High School, attended North Carolina and Dickinson Universities, and was a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was sales manager for the former Rufe Chevrolet in Carlisle, retiring after forty-two years. Richard was a member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church formerly Grace United Methodist Church. He was a lifetime member and Past Exalted Ruler of B.P.O.E. Lodge 578, Carlisle.
Surviving is his son Terry and wife Anne, three nieces and their families, and his beloved companion, Jennie Wagman. Dick was a loving father and uncle, an avid and skilled golfer, and a devoted and loyal friend.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. James E. VanZandt officiating. Private burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
