Rebecca A. Clawser

Rebecca A. Clawser, 69, of Newville, died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born December 19, 1944 in Newville, she was a daughter of the late John C. and Anna M. Heage Moffitt.
She was employed by Kinney Shoe for twenty-seven years and later as a housekeeper at Allenberry Resort Inn and Playhouse and Manor Care. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her grandson.
Surviving are one daughter, Bonnie McKeehan (and husband, Tim) of Newville; three sisters, Isabelle Travitz of Carlisle, Martha Moffitt of Mt. Holly Springs, and Reda Anna of Tucson, AZ; two brothers, Franklin Moffitt (and wife, Priscilla) of Newville and Ralph Moffitt of Carlisle; and one grandson, Kyle McKeehan. She was preceded in death by five sisters, three brothers and her companion, Melvin Chronister.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014 at McClures Gap Church of God, 120 Church of God Road, Newville with Rev. Robert Stauffer officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
