Raymond W. Anderson

Raymond W. Anderson, 74, of Carlisle died Monday, January 27, 2014 at his home.
Born May 20, 1939 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Nedwell Sr., and Hazel Brink Anderson.
He was a 1958 graduate of Carlisle High School. Raymond retired from the North Middleton Township Police Department after thirty-five years of service. He was a member of North Middleton Fire Company, Union Fire Company, White Circle Club, Moose Lodge 761, VFW Post 477, American Legion Post 101, and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1299, all of Carlisle. Also the Fraternal Order of Police, the North Middleton Township Senior Citizens and React Association of Eagles.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-three years, M. Yvonne (Hockenberry) Anderson of Carlisle; three sons: Barry L. Anderson, Sr., (and wife, Deb) of Newville, Larry L. Anderson (and wife, Doris) of Mt. Holly Sprins, and Scot A. Anderson (and wife, Laurie McMillan) of Clarks Summit; six grandchildren: Jace and Callie Anderson, Amy Stricker and Cecilee Anderson, Barry Anderson, Jr., and Jessica Anderson; one step-granddaughter, Ashely Garner; and four great-grandchildren: Bella Garner, Karlee Stricker, and Beverly and Bailey Anderson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Nedwell Anderson, one sister, Grace Sipe, and step-mother, Dorothy L. Anderson.
Funerals services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Timothy George officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
