Raymond "Ray" J. Cachara

Raymond “Ray” J. Cachara passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in Carlisle, PA. He was 75. He was born December 10, 1946 in Phoenixville, PA. Ray was the son of Joseph A. and Eleanor (Klimcho) Cachara.

Ray’s career was in education. He was a teacher for 30 years in the Chambersburg Area School District before retirement. He lived with his wife (Sue) in the Chambersburg and Carlisle areas. They were married for 51 years and enjoyed the times they shared visiting with their family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter who loved pursuing various game birds with his hunting dogs, not the least of those was an English pointer named “Gent.”

Ray was a veteran of the United States Army. He served our Country honorably during the Vietnam war.

Ray will be loved, truly missed and fondly remembered by his family as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Mary “Sue” Cachara, his sons Garth, Aaron and Jason. He is also survived by his 2 grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his sister Joyce Plotts.

A Private Family Memorial Service will be held.
