Raymond E. Sheaffer, 64, of Mt. Holly Springs, died Thursday, April 16, 2015 at his home.
He was born on July 11, 1950 in Carlisle to the late John and Mae Wilson Sheaffer.
Raymond was a self-employed painter and painting contractor. He was a member of the Carlisle Eagles Aerie #1299, the White Circle, the Carlisle VFW Post 477 and the American Legion Post 674 of Mt. Holly Springs. He enjoyed hunting and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tammy S. Bowers Sheaffer of Carlisle; a son, Chris R. (and wife Samantha) Sheaffer of Carlisle; a daughter, Jamie M. Sheaffer and her companion Paul Alexander of Mt. Holly Springs; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a brother, John (and wife Shirley) Sheaffer of Newville; a sister, Lorretta (and husband Richard) Kuhn of Gardners; and several nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family. There will be a visitation on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
