Ray Irvin Miller, Iii

Ray I. Miller, III, 58, of Carlisle passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at his sister’s residence.

Born on August 11, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ray Miller Jr. and Sylvia (Irwin) Miller.

Ray was a 1980 graduate of Carlisle High School. He was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and NY Yankees. He was a talented musician and previously the lead singer of a local band “Nuckin Futz”. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ray was very proud of his 19 years of sobriety and being a friend of “Bill W”.

Ray is survived by his children, Nicole Miller-Abuhakmeh of New Cumberland; Justin Ray Miller of Hagerstown, MD; Jessica Elizabeth Miller of Carlisle; Wesley Ray Miller and Raelyn Sylvia Miller; both of Shippensburg; sisters, Rosemarie Finkenbinder (Larry) of Carlisle, and Carol Losinger (Quintin) of Shippensburg; his four-legged companion, Barney Miller; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Please join the family in celebrating Ray’s life by wearing your favorite team apparel.
