Phyllis Evelyn Bailey

Phyllis Evelyn Bailey, age 86, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at ManorCare Health Services-Carlisle. She was born October 2, 1932 in Carlisle, the daughter of the late Jacob B. Tosten and Verna E. Powley Tosten.
Phyllis had worked at McCoy Electronics and at C.H. Masland. She attended the Big Spring Heights Church of God in Newville. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and crocheting blankets for her family and friends.
She is survived by her five children: Karen Murphy of Carlisle, Raymond “Mike” Bailey and his wife Shirley of Newville, Sharon Kristofek and her husband Dominic of Carlisle, Sheryl Wert and her husband Ron of Shippensburg, and Beth Dowless and her husband Larry of Carlisle, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her sister; Fay Paxton-Heishman, son in law; Darrel Murphy, and an infant grandson; Troy Bailey.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W Trindle Road, Carlisle, with the Rev. Richard Reese, officiating.
A Viewing will be held on Sunday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
