Phyllis A. (Shoap) Kistler, age 90, of Carlisle, passed away March 6, 2021 at Chapel Pointe of Carlisle. Born October 25, 1930 in Carlisle, daughter of the late Roy and Velma (Day) Shoap. She was the widower of Edwin Kistler.
Phyllis was a member of the Carlisle 1st Church of God, enjoyed camping and playing the piano for the Triumphant Church of God, played the guitar and played basketball in her younger years. She also enjoyed gardening and singing.
Surviving are her daughters, Diane L. Barrick, Carlisle and Lisa K. (Barry) Hoover, Carlisle; grandchildren Brian (Julie) Barrick; Michelle (Mike) Bretz; Kristen (Brian) Barrows; Leanne (Matt) Miller and Dylan (Paige Wiles) Hoover and great-grandchildren, Tasha Bretz; Mikayla Bretz; Brandon Barrows; Matthew Bretz; Hunter Barrick; Taylor Barrows; Bradley Barrows; Emma Barrick and Miley Bretz.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her sister, Romaine Shadle.
Family will receive friends from 1:00pm until time of funeral service at 2:00pm Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Rd Carlisle.
Phyllis will be laid to rest at Westminster Cemetery.
As mandated by Governor Wolf maximum capacity during gatherings is restricted and you may be asked to wait at the door when you arrive until the numbers allow for your entrance.
