Peter Hysick, Jr.

Peter Hysick, Jr., 81, of Carlisle, died Friday, February 9, 2024, at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home.

Born in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Peter, Sr. and Arlene (Wrightstone) Hysick and the husband of 55 years to Doris (Kistler) Hysick.

Peter worked for over 25 years as an accountant for the former United Telephone (Sprint), retiring in 1996.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Carlisle. He liked collecting coins and gems and enjoyed watching old movies.

In addition to his wife, he is survived his son: Keith J. Hysick, of Lebanon, his daughter: April L. Smith, her husband, Matthew, of Etters; two grandchildren: Nathan Smith and Kyle Smith; his brother: Eddy Hysick, of Richfield as well as his sister: Susan Hurley, of Royersford.

Peter was preceded in death by his sisters: Bertha Minnich and Sandra Weller and his brother: Stephen Hysick.

Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
