Pearl E. Bouder, 84, of Carlisle, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at her home.
Born October 30, 1927 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Clayton and S. Catherine Lebeck Wert and the widow of John M. Bouder, Jr.
She was always in sales, most recently with Avon for 49 years. She was a Republican Committee Woman and Judge of Elections for many years. Pearl was active in the Salvation Army and served lunches in the senior action center for over 20 years. She is a member of the Carlisle Brethren In Christ Church where she has attended for 84 years and is a member of the Volunteer Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was a former secretary of the North Middleton Senior Citizens Club. Pearl will be remembered for her smile that lit up the world.
Surviving are one son, Jay M. Bouder (and wife, Patricia) of Franklin, OH; one daughter, Joan Henne (and husband, Kerry) of Carlisle; one sister, Sylvia Klick (and husband, Samuel) of Gardners; four brothers, Paul Wert (and wife, Reba) of Plainfield, Harold Wert (and wife, Esther) of Boiling Springs, Ray Wert (and wife, Jean) of Carlisle and Mearle Wert of Mount Joy; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Wert.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Brethren In Christ Church, 1155 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle with Rev. Linda Lambert and Rev. Alan Robinson co-officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the church.
