Pauline E. McCoy, 82, of Carlisle, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side.
Born March 19, 1932 in Mechanicsburg, she was a daughter of the late Leo G. and Ruth F. Hill Tanger and the widow of Gerald R. McCoy, who were married for forty-three years.
She retired as a tester for the Piezo Crystal Plant, Mt. Holly Springs. Pauline then continued to help clean homes for various people until the time of her death. She was a life member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for over fifty years. She enjoyed cooking and baking and being a helping hand to all.
Surviving are one son, Jeffery A. McCoy (and his wife, Machell) of Carlisle; two grandchildren, Cody and Dakota McCoy; two step-children, Patricia Sangialosi of Gardners and Allen McCoy of Carlisle; three step-grandchildren: Jaime Lea Reisinger, David Sangialosi and Lisa Strayer; three step-great-grandchildren: Brody Aldinger, Dominic Reisinger and Kayla Sangialosi; and three sisters: Shirley J. Kramer (and husband Glenn) of Mt. Holly Springs, Linda K. Tanger of Shippensburg, and Donna Sue Myers of Florida. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Leo George Tanger, Carl Levan Tanger, and Robert Eugene Tanger.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with her pastor, Rev. Matthew D. Plant officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 420 Park Drive, Carlisle, PA 17015.
