Paul J. Rupp, Jr.

Paul Jacob Rupp Jr., born on July 22, 1929, of Camp Hill passed away on January 3, 2022 while residing at The Bridges of Bent Creek, Mechanicsburg. He was 92 years old.

Paul was preceded in death by his loving and loyal wife, Mary S. Rupp, 91, after 70 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by two brothers during his childhood.

Paul and Mary were high school sweethearts at Mechanicsburg High School and graduated in the class of 1947. After graduating from High School, Paul attended the Central Penn Business College and studied accounting for two years. Paul was employed for 45 years as an accountant for Pennsy Supply in Harrisburg. During Paul's younger years, he played baseball and was an avid bowler. He participated in leagues at the Trindle Bowl for many years. As a bowler, Paul was a member of the 300 club. Paul and Mary were also active members of the Capital City Polka Dancers Association and visited the Saint Lawrence Club and Gornicks Fieldhouse in Steelton regularly on weekends. They also enjoyed traveling through America with the Blue Shield Club. In Paul’s later years he enjoyed golfing with friends and family. Throughout his life, Paul was known for his happy personality. He lived life in moderation and his positive outlook on life will be remembered. Paul was a lifelong member of Saint John's Lutheran Church in Shiremanstown.

He is survived by his son, Douglas Rupp (wife Penny) of Mechanicsburg; daughter, Suann VanDell (husband David) of Camp Hill; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please send contributions to Saint John's Lutheran Church of Shiremanstown.
