Paul Cyrus Bishop

Paul Cyrus Bishop, age 86 of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center. He was born on October 27, 1936, in Carlisle, PA to the late Cyrus and Ella Mae (Hancock) Bishop.

Paul was President of the former Bowman Mell Chemical Co. He was a member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church and in his free time enjoyed fishing and gardening. Paul will be most remembered for his love of family. He cherished the time he was able to spend with all of his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years A. Maxine (Lebo) Bishop; daughter Kerry L. Holmes and her husband Robert of Camp Hill and grandchildren Michaela A. Miller of Harrisburg, Nick A. Miller of Harrisburg, and Caden R. Holmes of Camp Hill. Paul is also survived by his sister Joanne Mentzer of Carlisle. In addition to his late parents, Paul was preceded in death by his daughter Beth A. Miller and sisters Marie Loetscher, Kathryn Young and Gale Mowery.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Carlisle United Methodist Church, 333 S. Spring Garden St., Carlisle, PA 17013. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until service time. Private interment will be in Westminster Cemetery.
