Patricia Bletz

Patricia Thomas Bletz, age 85, died at Cumberland Crossings Retirement Community on Sunday, July 29, 2012.
Born July 1, 1927 in Easton, PA she is the daughter and only child of the late Rufus William Thomas and Myrtle Leone Hill.
She was a 1945 graduate of McCaskey High School in Lancaster and a 1947 graduate of Linden Hall Junior College in Lititz. She was a member of Dickinson Presbyterian Church in Cummingstown, a village outside Carlisle. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Col Donald F. Bletz, U.S. Army Ret., a son Thomas Michael Bletz of Carlisle, a daughter Susan Bletz Kennell of York, PA and a daughter Wendy Bletz Turner of Boise, ID; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In life, Pat was a stay at home Mom, was very active in volunteer work and was an outstanding bowler. She was active at Wilson College in Chambersburg when her husband served on the faculty there. She loved to travel and was especially fond of New England.
A memorial service will be held at the Dickinson Presbyterian Church, 12 Church Road, Carlisle, PAS 17015 at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 9, 2012. Friends may greet the family after the service in the Parish House and enjoy fellowship with light refreshments. Interment will be at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dickinson Presbyterian Church, 12 Church Road, Carlisle, PA 17015.
