Patricia Ann Campbell, age 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 11, 2016. She was born in York on April 14, 1935 to John Paul Nicholas Small and Florence Jennings Small, who both preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Paul; her brother, Richard "Dick", and sisters, Norma Morrison and Gertrude "Gertie" Barbour. She is survived by her sister, Doris Hein; brother David, wife Dee, and children; daughters, Barbara J. Sheffer, husband Craig, Connie S. Williamson, husband Donald and Judy D. Cyphert, husband James, Jr; sons, Jody L. Campbell, wife Carol and Daniel W. Campbell; step-children Robert, Jim, Rose and Jenny; 14+ grandchildren; and 16+ great-children.
She spent many years growing up at the Tressler Lutheran Children's Home in Loysville. Her late teen years were spent in the York area where she was a soda jerk at Woolworth. She also worked at the Dillsburg Shoe Factory, Carlisle's Crystal Plant, Rite Aid's warehouse as a picker, various department stores as a cashier, a cook at a local business and also sold Sarah Covington Jewelry and Tupperware. She lived in Shermans Dale for many years as well as shorter times in recent years in York, Carlisle, Gainesville, FL and most recently Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Home in Carlisle. She played the accordion and liked to sing, bake, do word searches, sew clothes for the grandkids, watch tv, stay up late and bake homemade bread and Christmas cookies. She shared a birthday with Loretta Lynn and enjoyed Loretta's music as well as other country and gospel music. She attended church at Bible Baptist Church in New Bloomfield, PA, and Mountainview Baptist Church in Carlisle as well as several other churches.
Her wish is for us to enjoy Christmas and not be sad at her passing for she gets to spend this Christmas with the very first Christmas gift, the One who is the real reason for Christmas, Jesus her Savior.
