Olga C. Brunski

Olga C. Brunski, 96, of Carlisle, passed away with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at her home.

She was born October 21, 1927, in Plymouth Township, PA to the late John and Agnes (Chudzik) Kravitz. Olga was the widow of Leonard W. Brunski who passed in January of 2017 after they enjoyed 68 years of marriage.

She was a 1945 graduate of the former Harter High School. Olga was an excellent cook and baker. She worked as a lunch lady for the Carlisle Area School District until her retirement. Prior to her employment with the school district, she worked in a bakery and also as a cigar inspector. Olga was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, especially with her neighborhood card club that she was involved with for 55 years. Olga also liked canning fresh vegetables and fruit from her garden. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother when her boys were scouts.

Olga is survived by two sons, Paul L. (wife Mary) Brunski of Mt. Holly Springs and John P. Brunski (companion Linda Aber) of Berlin, MD; two daughters, Linda M. Brunski of Carlisle and Eileen T. (husband W. Ray Jr.) Noss of Enola; and three grandchildren, Peter, Sarah, and Asher. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Peter Brunski; eight siblings, Helen Donnelly, Wanda Sprow, Joe Kravitz, Edward Kravitz, Theodore Kravitz, Sophie Barber, Tessie Burke, and Stanley Kravitz.

A viewing will be held from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Hoffman Funeral and Cremation LTD, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 152 East Pomfret Street Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Chiedozie F. Ononuju as celebrant. Interment services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
