Nellie M. Brickner

Nellie M. Brickner, 79, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Harrisburg Hospital.
Born January 24, 1934 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Christina Ellerman Lebo and the widow of Donald Leon Brickner.
As a long time member of Hickorytown United Methodist Church, she was passionate about her service to the Lord. Nellie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family at their cabin. A big part of Nellie's life was spent babysitting the children throughout the area.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Trostle (husband, Robert, Jr.) and Sharon Gouffer; one sister, Maxine Bishop (husband, Paul); one daughter-in-law, Joni Brickner all of Carlisle; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Barry Brickner; grandson, Nathan Brickner; three brothers; and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Hickorytown United Methodist Church, 1510 West Trindle Road, Carlisle with Rev. Iva L. O'Brien officiating. Burial will be in Letort Cemetery, Carlisle. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle.
