Nancy Lee (Payne) Delisanti, age 73, of Carlisle, died February 13, 2018.
She was born December 8, 1944 in Seattle, WA to the late Colonel (Retired) Thomas A. Payne and Molly Jean (LaMaine) Payne of Edmonds, WA.
She is survived by: her husband of 47 years, Colonel (Retired) Neal J. Delisanti; son, Neal A. (Lisa) Delisanti of Fairport, NY; daughters, Angela M. (David) DeFisher of Williamson, NY, Jennifer L. (Brian) Jenison of Enola and Teresa J. (John) Carney of Bartlett, IL; son, Matthew T. Delisanti of Carlisle; brother, Michael A. (Rebecca) Payne of Leavenworth, WA; grandchildren, Isabella, Cecilia, Thomas, Calogero, Matthew, Connor, David and Neal; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She met Neal while living in Okinawa, Japan, where she worked as a Department of Army Civilian Intensive Care Recovery Room nurse at Camp Kue Army Hospital during the Vietnam War. She spent her married life as an Army wife and mother, volunteering in the many military communities in which she lived and at Saint Patrick School.
Viewing will take place at Hoffman Funeral Home, 2020 West Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013 on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Saint Patrick Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA 17015 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA at a date to be determined.
Nancy’s family wishes to thank Dr. Jonathan Diamond of Hershey Kidney Specialists and Fresenius Kidney Care, Carlisle, PA, along with all of the medical staff who have tended to her care over the past several years.
