Nancy L. Snyder

Nancy L. Snyder, 76, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at the Church of God Home.

She was born October 6, 1947, in Carlisle to the late Robert Sr. and Virgie (Barrick) Foster.

Nancy graduated from Big Spring High School with the class of 1965. She enjoyed bird watching and was especially fond of cardinals. Nancy liked bowling in women’s leagues, playing cards, working puzzles, and mowing grass. She cared for many cats over the years because she could never let a stray at her doorstep go hungry.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Barry L. Snyder of Carlisle; one son, Timothy A. (wife Nancy) Snyder of Carlisle; one sister, Cinda (husband Kenneth) Walker of Bloserville; one step-grandson, Shaun Stambaugh of Boiling Springs; one step-great granddaughter, Bristol Stambaugh; one niece, Angie; and seven nephews, Robert, Greg, Shandon, Brandon, Trent, Justin, and Coby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Foster and Robert Foster Jr.

A service celebrating Nancy’s life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Nancy to Speranza Animal Rescue 1216 Brandt Road Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
