Nancy Q. Grim, 70, of Carlisle, died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at her home.
Born August 10, 1940 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Sally Readinger Buchter.
She was instrumental with the rebuilding of the Carlisle Theater. Nancy was very active in helping with the start of the local farmers markets because of her passion for local produce. She was an avid world traveler and artist.
Surviving are her husband of 11 years, Robert R. Grim of Carlisle, one son, Michael Quain (and wife, Claudia) of Chapel Hill, NC, one daughter, Kelley Troia (and husband, Timothy) of New Orleans, LA, two grandchildren, Hannah Troia and Chloe Marie Quain, one brother, Harold Buchter (and wife, Barbara) of New Cumberland, three step-children, Rusty Grim (and wife, Theo) of Mt. Hood, OR, Deanne Grim-Fitzpatrick (and husband, Peter) of Killington, VT, and Suzanne Grim of Camp Hill and four step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Barry Buchter.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Unitarian Universalists of the Cumberland Valley, 2 Forge Road, Boiling Springs with Rev. Judy Welles officiating. Picnic reception to follow the service at the Grim Residence, 181 Ridge Drive, Carlisle. Casual attire recommended for both the service and the reception.
