Mindy Lou Mouer (Zeigler) James, 54, of Shermans Dale, PA, peacefully passed away on July 24, 2024 at her home. She was born in Carlisle, PA on February 22, 1970 to Donald E. Zeigler and the late Carol E. (Mouer) Zeigler. Mindy graduated in 1988 from Cumberland Valley High School and in 1996, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Since 2004, Mindy was a Sales Representative for national retail accounts with Springs Window Fashions. Her territory was vast and with that, she built so many relationships that brought her joy.
Mindy’s favorite places on earth were the family home in Ocean City, MD where she loved anything sand and water and in Happy Valley where she cheered on her beloved Penn State Nittany Lions. She adored the Pittsburgh Penguins and Penn State Hockey. Wherever her family and friends were, that was where she was the happiest. In life, Mindy was forever an optimist and this served her well throughout her journey. She provided strength and inspiration to those around her enduring similar struggles.
Family was at the center of her life. Mindy is survived by her husband of 18 years, Curtis James of Shermans Dale, PA.; her father, Donald; her sister, Robyn Strickler (husband Kevin) of Hellam, PA.; son, Devin Anthony of Shermans Dale, PA; step-son Anthony James (fiancée Katelyn Kuhn) and step-daughter Samantha James; nephew Patrick Strickler (wife Leigha) and niece Morgan Strickler (fiancé Joseph Laughman); and four grandchildren. Mindy was preceded in death by her mother, Carol and a granddaughter, Lyla James.
