Mildred V. Walters

Mildred V. Walters, age 90, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
She was born January 11, 1927 in Carlisle to the late Sennett Leroy and Florence (Orshall) Calaman and was the widow of Harold L. Walters who passed July 30, 1995. They had been married for 50 years.
Mildred was a long-time member of Great Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking and going to live gospel concerts.
She is survived by: two children, Barry (wife Susan) Walters and Shirley A. (husband Donald) Walters, both of Carlisle; a sister, Stella Kautz of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Larry Kuhn. In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by: a daughter, Connie J. Kuhn; a great-grandson, Adam C. Schoeller; three brothers, John, Marlin and Charles Calaman; and two sisters, Jean Carr and Mae Butler.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Pastor Dale Barrick officiating. Burial will private and held at the convenience of the family at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the services.
