Mila M. Baum, 83, of Newville, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Thornwald Home, Carlisle.
Born October 16, 1928 in Roaring Spring, a daughter of the late Henry M. and Clara Mae Reffner Clapper.
She was a graduate of Morrison Cove High School. Mila drove school bus for the Big Spring School District for 14 years. She was a member of McClures Gap Church of God where she taught Sunday School.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Sylvester Baum of Newville; two sons, Kenny E. Baum of Newville and Ronald S. Baum (and wife, Linda K.) of Mifflinburg; one daughter, Linda J. Morris (and husband, Steven) of New Bloomfield; eight grandchildren, Michael S. Morris, Melissa D. Dantas, Amanda L. Morris, Katherine L. Baum, Eric A. Baum, Kenny E. Baum, Jr., Tyler L. Baum, and Kimberly M. Michael; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Brothers and sisters: Nelson Clapper, Phyllis Clapper Stock, Marjorie Clapper Claar; Glenn Clapper, Paul Clapper, and Vernon Clapper.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Robert Stauffer officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, February 6, 2012 and also 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
