Michael Wayne Bishop

Michael Wayne Bishop at age 50, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, October 17, 2022 at home. Michael was born on February 18, 1972 in Carlisle, PA, he was the son of late Cleyol L. and Bonnie Arlene Yocum Bishop.

Michael was the member of Fraternal Order Of Eagles. Michael enjoyed hiking, camping, fishing as well as hunting, and outdoor activities. He enjoyed helping people when they needed him. “Mike” enjoyed teaching his nephew and people how to fish / hunt.

Mike is survived by one sister, Michelle Bishop (and significant other, Christopher Genovese) of Carlisle; one nephew Joshua Bishop, Rochester, NY; two aunts, Shirley Smith (and significant other, Dale Stitzel) of Carlisle; Darlene Laughman (and a widow of her beloved husband, Harold) of Carlisle; and two uncles, Richard Yocum (and wife, Bonnie) of Dillsburg and Robert Yocum (and wife, Eleanor) of Blain. He was preceded in death by parents, Cleyol L. and Bonnie Arlene Yocum Bishop, and cousins as well as several cousins on his dad, Cleyol L’s side of the family.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service 3 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, where the family will greet guests after 2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held privately.
