Michael B. Kelley

Michael B. Kelley, 67, of Carlisle, passed away on June 19th, 2024. Michael was born on July 1st, 1956, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda. He is also survived by his son, Shane Kelley (Jessica), his daughter, Jenica Reyes Benitez (Carlos), his step-son, James Carroll (Loan Vo), his sister, Kristine Gelbaugh, his brother, Steven Kelley (Edie),  his sister -in- law, Karen Beckenbaugh, his brother-in- law, Earl Beckenbaugh, his brother-in-law, Jay Hurley, his nieces, Angela Negley (Steve) and Monica Ruff (John), his nephews, Jason Hurley (Nevina) and Kevin Hurley (Alex), his aunt, Marie Miller, and his grandchildren, Aby, Bo, Devon, Lucas, and Leo. He is predeceased by his father and mother, Leroy and Evelyn Kelley (Minich), his father and mother-in-law, Wayne and Vonny Shatzer, his sister, Carol Hurley, and his brother-in-law, Carl Gelbaugh. Michael was dearly loved by all of the family and friends in his life. 

Michael was a man of many hobbies. He was a part of the Mount Holly American Legion #674, the Carlisle Club, and Waggoner's Gap United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing board and card games, working as a mechanic, hosting cookouts, going out to eat with his family, watching Penn State Football, watching Nascar, as he was particularly a fan of Chase Elliott, and going to the casino. Those who were lucky enough to know Michael in his time with us knew him as a family man, a jokester, lighthearted, playful, and just someone who was all around happy go lucky. 

A public viewing will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024, at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013, followed by a funeral service at 3 P.M. Interment will be held at Waggoners Gap United Methodist Church Cemetery directly following the funeral service.
