Michael Elliot Hornberger

Michael E. (Mike), 86 years old, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully while being cared for at the Stonebridge Health & Rehabilitation Center, Duncannon, PA.

Son of the late John and Miriam (Bang) Hornberger, Mike was born on August 3rd, 1936 in Hanover, PA.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 50 years, Alice Elizabeth (Everson) Hornberger.

Mike is survived by his sister, Patricia Jordan of Plainfield, IN; his son, Jon Dennis Hornberger and wife, Denise of Shermans Dale, PA and by his daughter, Deborah Royer and her husband, Lee of Aiken, SC.

Mike served in the U.S. Air Force, was a lifetime member of the NRA as well as a member several sporting and community organizations. Throughout his life, Mike enjoyed a variety of activities such as sailing, auto racing spectating, the beach and tinkering on cars and projects in his garage.

Mike will be interred in Fort Indiantown Gap National Veterans Cemetery.
