Michael D. Hair

Michael D. Hair, age 62, of Carlisle, passed away suddenly December 17, 2016 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 1, 1954 in Shermans Dale to the late Harry and Elsie (Liddick) Hair.
Michael retired from Volvo Construction in Shippensburg and had previously worked at the Frog, Switch & Manufacturing Co., Carlisle. He enjoyed hunting, going to block shoots and gun raffles, working on lawn tractors and being the neighborhood good guy. Family and friends meant the most to him.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Alexis D. (Wolititch) Hair of Carlisle; two sons, Aaron (and wife Monika) Hair of Harrisburg and Carl (and wife Adrienne) Hair of Harrisburg; one step-son, James (and wife Stephanie) Crook of Shippensburg; four brothers, Dick, Denny, Ken and Randy Hair; three sisters, Jane Zeigler, Patty Johnson and Wendy Meneses; and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents Michael was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Barry Hair.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be viewing on Friday at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, Capital Region Division, or to the PA Boxer Rescue, Inc.
