Meredith Williams DeWalt, 41, of Mt. Holly Springs, died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at her residence.
Born August 15, 1973 in Media, Pa. she was a daughter of Thomas J. and Barbara J. Faries Williams.
She was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School, Class of '91. She received her Bachelor of Education majoring in Spanish from Millersville University. She spent a year studying in Salamanca, Spain. She was a member of the swim teams for Boiling Springs High School and also Millersville University. She taught in Yellow Breeches Middle School for thirteen years. Meredith was a photographer for USA Stars Cheerleading Squad of Carlisle. She was a performer and dancer for the Danzante Dance Company where she performed locally for the Kipona Festival in Harrisburg and other venues. Her love for dancing began in Spain where she learned and practiced flamenco dancing. Meredith was a devoted and loving mother to her three children.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are three children: Mikaela DeWalt, Brayden DeWalt and Erika DeWalt; two sisters: Mandy Brigaman of New Cumberland and Melissa Williams of Washington, DC; her first husband, Drew Scott; and her fiancé, Jack Mills of Severn, MD.
A Celebration of Meredith's life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 8, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Arlene B. Dunn officiating. A viewing will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 7, 2014 and from 9:30 a.m., until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
