Melvin Keith Neal

Melvin Keith Neal, 62, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital with his family by his side.

He was born on July 28, 1956 in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Melvin and Ramona (Sallis) Neal.

Keith was employed at Dickinson College as a maintenance technician for over 25 years. He enjoyed tinkering with parts and could fix anything he was given. When he wasn’t tinkering with parts, he enjoyed gardening, day trips to wherever he felt like going that day, hunting, fishing and watching his favorite college football team, Alabama (Roll Tide). Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Keith is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Maryann (Palmiere) of Carlisle; son, Justin Keith and his wife Kelly of Pittsburgh; daughter, Angeline (Nina) Neal and her husband Josh Traxler of Carlisle; grandchildren, Nico Neal, and Daymn and Lily Traxler; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Denise.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, April 1, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Martin O. Moran, III as celebrant. A viewing will be held on Monday at the church from 3:00 pm until the start of the Mass.
