Melvin Eugene Mohr, 65, of Carlisle, died Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born January 6, 1950 in Peoria, Il, he was a son of the late Chalmer and Mildred Smith Mohr.
Melvin was an over the road long haul trucker. He was US Naval veteran, who served during the Vietnam Conflict.
Surviving are his wife of twenty-seven years, Judy Mohr of Carlisle, two sons, Christopher T. Ryan (wife Kim) of Carlisle and Jeffery David Ryan (wife Angela) of Burlington, KY; two sisters, Pamela Steele and Patricia Holzinger; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his canine companions, Butter Nut and Rowdy. He was preceded in death by brothers, Donald, Kenneth, and Robert Mohr.
Memorial services will be held 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at St. John Episcopal Church, on the square, Carlisle with The Rev. Canon Mark A. Scheneman officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until the time of the service at the church.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
