Maxine Oyler

Maxine Hassler Oyler, 84, died August 04, 2012. Maxine was born at home in Newville, Pa. April 13, 1928 to the late Charles Ebert Hassler and Gladys Rockwell Hassler.
She graduated Newville High School 1946; Shippensburg University 1950; taught public school in Malvern, Pa. to help put her husband through Wharton Graduate School; and then became a stay-at-home mother. She was predeceased by grandson Daniel Oyler.
Survivors are husband of 62 years, Fred Davidson Oyler, sister Carole Jo Heusner, Carlisle, son Thomas Scot Oyler and wife Elizabeth Blosser Oyler, Boiling Springs, daughter Susan Kim Oyler Reutter and husband Steven, Carlisle, son Ted Davidson Oyler and wife June Singletary Oyler, Kennett Square, Pa., son Timothy Hassler Oyler, San Francisco, Ca., aunt Charlotte Rockwell Raymond, St. Simons Isle, Ga., numerous grand children and great grand children, and two Heusner nephews.
Memorial service will be at Dickinson Presbyterian Church located at 12 Church Road, Carlisle, PA at 9:00 am on Tuesday August 07, followed by brunch in the church parish hall. Casual dress suggested. Interment will be private at the Oyler family plot, Newville Cemetery, Newville, Pa.
