Maurice Williams

Mr. Maurice Eldridge Williams, 83, was called back to the Lord Saturday, December 31, 2011.
Born June 24, 1928, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Williams graduated from San Diego State University, and from the Wayne State University School of Law. He worked 38 years for Manufacturers National Bank of Detroit, serving in many capacities, including Senior Vice President. Mr. Williams served with the U.S. Navy for 5 years on Guam and on the USS Helena in the Pacific during the Korean War, leaving as a Chief Petty Officer. Mr. Williams retired to Mechanicsburg in 1996 to be near family.
Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Patricia Williams of Mechanicsburg, and his six children, M. Arthur Williams of Mechanicsburg; Marjorie Williams-Jones of Oakland, CA; Kathi McConnell of Houghton, MI; Evelyn Williams of Viroqua, WI; John Williams of Clawson, MI; Sean Golden of Tampa, FL; and seven grandchildren: Eric Williams of Gettysburg, PA; Caroline and Deborah Jones of Oakland CA; Jeremiah McConnell of Boulder, CO; KT Studinger-McConnell of Victoria, TX; and Sean and Lucy Golden of Tampa, FL
Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 7 at St Paul’s United Church of Christ, 626 Williams Grove Road, Mechanicsburg. Mr. Williams’ remains have been donated to Alzheimer’s research.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association - Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 3544 N. Progress Avenue, Ste. 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110, in Maury’s honor.
